YC-230 Pingtan Offshore Wind Farm

The ultra-large offshore hydraulic pile driver YC-230 has been deployed at the Pingtan offshore wind power project in Fujian, China.

As China advances its carbon peak and carbon neutrality goals, offshore wind energy has emerged as a key power supply solution. Pile foundation construction for offshore wind projects serves as a critical component of these initiatives. In recent years, the development of offshore wind power has shifted toward larger-scale, lower-cost solutions, creating a stage for domestically produced large-scale marine hydraulic pile drivers to demonstrate their capabilities. Domestic equipment holds distinct advantages in cost-effectiveness, on-site service capabilities, and delivery timelines. This time, the YC-230 ultra-large marine hydraulic pile driver from Yong'an Machinery was deployed at the Datang Wind Power Pingtan Changjiang'ao Offshore Wind Farm project. With a total investment of 1.108 billion yuan, the project installs 11 self-developed 10-megawatt offshore wind turbines from Dongfang Wind Power, achieving a total installed capacity of 110 megawatts.
