The Phase II Project of the Fujian Zhangpu Liu'ao Offshore Wind Farm by Three Gorges Energy is situated in the offshore waters southeast of the Liu'ao Peninsula in Zhangpu. Covering an area of approximately 22.9 square kilometers, it is the first offshore wind farm project in the waters off southern Fujian and the nation's first project to deploy 16-megawatt offshore wind turbines at scale. With a total investment of nearly 6 billion yuan, the project has a designed total installed capacity of 400 megawatts. Upon commissioning, it will generate over 1.6 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity annually, saving approximately 500,000 tons of standard coal and reducing carbon dioxide emissions by about 1.36 million tons each year.
